CEFEX: What it Means for a Non-Profit to be CEFEX-certified

CEFEX has certified more than 240 Organizations in Eight Countries which Cumulatively Oversee $500 Billion in Assets.  A CEFEX-certified NGO places its donors' and clients' interests first. Through structured processes, the NGO will realize cost savings through improved quality, enhanced donor satisfaction and increased market share. From a financial perspective, Nonprofits will realize investment objectives sooner and achieve a better alignment of investment services to expenses.

CAP (Chartered Advisor of Philanthropy)

The Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy® (CAP®) provides the knowledge and tools NGOs, Donors, and Clients need to help articulate and advance their highest aspirations for self, family, and society. CAP® holders are members of a growing network of top planners who are working to make our towns and cities better places to live for generations to come. Courses provide an insight into the process of philanthropic planning, including, but not limited to, tax, tools, and techniques.

Advisors with the CAP® are also of great benefit to gift planners serving high capacity donors; typically, these are fundraisers in the areas of major gifts or planned gifts. Community foundations and other multi-issue charities, along with established single-issue charities, are among those most likely to benefit from CAP Advisors.

Global Fiduciary Standard of Excellence

Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) Designation training empowers investment professionals with the fiduciary knowledge and tools they need to serve their clients’ best interests.  Think of the Accredited Investment Fiduciary Analyst® (AIFA®) Designation training like the master’s level coursework to the AIF® Designation. Advisors who earn the AIFA® Designation are certified to perform fiduciary assessments on internal policies, procedures and workflows to verify or certify an entity's conformity to a "Global Fiduciary Standard of Excellence.”
